The American Academy of Religion (AAR) and the Society of Biblical Literature (SBL) are the learned societies for the academic study of religion and for academic scholarship in biblical studies, respectively. We jointly sponsor the November Annual Meeting and this career service platform, as well as publish academic journals and provide valuable resources and member benefits for scholars in the field of religion.
